Sometimes, self regulation is a long road. Many of you have met this friend in Ms. Hannah's class, and know that regulation is a skill he is working on. Aimee got this picture of him calmly explaining how to use the breathing ball. Little by little!

Counseling Groups:

Just a heads up, next week, February 20th-February 23rd will be my 6th week (final week) with my Round 3 Small Group Counseling students. Since we do not have school on Monday, all Monday groups will end the following Monday on February 26th. The small group counseling decision data form will be sent to those teachers emails that same week to adjust and replan for Round 4 of groups. If you have any students in mind to be in a group that have not been in a round this year, please fill out our counselor referral form and Joe and I will carefully assess how each student may fit into a group.

Lit Bit:
Progress Monitoring: Next week we will be testing all students in Round 2.  In kinder we will assess the students in Madsen and Contreras.
Coming up: Feb 28th will be a grade level probe on all students (unless you choose not to test blue students)

We will have a SAC meeting Thursday 2/22 at 5:30. According to SAC guidelines, one teacher should serve on SAC. If you are available, I can stipend you!! Please let Aimee know.

The sign up genius for conferences will be shared on TUESDAY. Please review your slots and sign up for a meal break each day. If you need additional conference time off, please let Aimee and Kendall know so we cam adjust interpretation slots, etc. Thank you!

Behavior:

Please try and consolidate behavior texts to one text including your name-- it makes it easier for office staff to copy and paste over to the behavior team!

Shoutouts and Fun:

I want to give a huge shoutout to Aimee and Kendall for all the work they put in to make sure staff and students are supported and feel heard. There is a lot that is done behind the scenes of a regular day to day and I am always so impressed and grateful to be a part of this team. I really appreciate the consistent communication to help make CRES a safe, proactive, and fun place to work. Thank you for all you do, you both are rockstars!

Shoutout to Holly for asking a helpful clarifying question about STEM's cardboard needs. Any thin cardboard *like* that of a cereal box would probably work, if you have any that STEM can collect.

Thank you Joe for being a great team member and for always wanting to learn and understand how we can help support our students. We are so lucky to have you!

Big shout out Coreen, CRES is so lucky to have you. You are a bright light in the lives of many students and staff.
