It's November, apparently, and what a whirlwind way to enter the month. It was a true team effort this week, from the parade to a true coverage shuffle. Thanks to everyone for being flexible, having compassion, and keeping our students at the heart of our work this week. I don't think I was necessarily in flow this week, but I did appreciate these questions from Elena Aguilar to help me take a pause, and think about the whole month.

lice: we've had a not insignificant amount of lice in first grade. If you are concerned, here are some steps you can take!
1.) Students need to sit and stand two arms length apart.
2.) Classroom coats need to somehow be hung so they do not rub on each other. I know that is a logistical problem, but if a bug is on the hood of a coat, I can easily picture it walking onto the hood of another coat if they are touching each other.
3.) Students should not wear hats during class. We don't want them trying on each others' hats.
4.) They should not lie on the floor or otherwise have their heads touching the carpet.
violin: is anyone open to Cami using their room after school for private lessons? Day of week negotiable! let Kendall know.
Shoutouts and Fun:
Thank you to Paula for your help with a dysregulated student!
Shoutout to Paula and Ms. Dani for holding down the fort while I was gone this week. Double thanks to Paula for covering my class on HALLOWEEN!

| Looking good and feeling good! |
To anyone who has worked with Ian, from his mom: “I truly appreciate everything that the school and its staff has done to support my sweet boy! CRES has gone above and beyond and I am immensely grateful.”
When one student was starting to get dysregulated on a field trip, another student led him through the 5 senses grounding exercise.
